This ensures optimal product quality and performance and saves on materials. The equipment comprises a scanning near infra-red sensor that takes measurements of the coating every 0.5 seconds throughout the entire run and subsequently downloads a complete report to a connected PC. Additionally, whilst scanning, the real-time spot measurement is flagged-up onto a flat screen monitor visible to the Production staff in order that they can take immediate action in the unlikely event that the coating drifts towards specified limits, before any quality issues are encountered.
